    Formation of the Finance, Lease and Property, Wide Streets and Markets and Bye Laws Committees (1841-1842). Minute book sets out the functions of these four committees and the manner in which meetings were to be conducted. Includes also Corporation Rental 1833, Accounts of the Commissioners of Public Works (18742), and Auction of Tolls and Customs (1842)/

    General Special Minute Books (1858-1934) includes minutes of the Railway Committee, Lunatic Asylum Committee, Watch and Light Committee, Corkanree Committee, Fire Brigade Committee, Market Trustees Committee, Estimates Committee, Irrecoverable Rates Committee, Peoples Park Committtee, Housing of the Working Classes Committee, committees relating to salary and costs of law agents and officers’, Proposal Committee, City Distress Committee, George Hotel Committee, Borough Boundary Extension Committee, Barrington’s Hospital Committee, Technical Committee, Committee for the Shop Hours Act and others.

    Number 1 Committee (Finance Committee) (1854-1900) which dealt with bills of costs, payment of contractors, estimates of expenses and salaries and other financial matters.

    Number 2 Committee (1854-1899) dealt matters such as planning, repairs of streets, improvements, sewage, and nightwatchmen.

    Presentments Committee (Number 3 Committee) (1854-1872)

    Watch and Lighting Committee (1877-1934) which also dealt with matters such as Fire Brigade, Hackney Cars, and Explosive issues.

    Cleansing, Repairing, Improvement and Artizan’s Dwelling Committee (1881-1924)

    Public Health Committee (1885-1930) which dealt with matters such as sanitary services, inspection of dairies and water supplies, sanitary condition of houses and medical work.

    Clothing Committee (1908-1932) which dealt with provision of clothes and equipment to Limerick City Council Staff.

    Water Works Committee (1883-1934)

    University and Secondary Scholarships Committee (1915-1934)

    General Purposes Committee and Tenders Committee (1934-1969) which also includes planning committee minutes after 1965.

    Street Naming Sub-Committee (1958-1975)

    Cultural and Environmental Committee (1983-1991) which discusses matters raised by committees such as the Library Sub-Committee, Museum Advisory Committee, Art Gallery Advisory Committee, Limerick Sports Council, Committee for Recreational and Sporting Activities, An Grupa Stiurtha Faoin Gaeilge Sa TSeirbhis Rialtas Aitiuil and the Cemeteries Committees. Also discussed are matters relating to arts projects, environmental activities, archaeological reports, and monuments in Limerick City.
