Máire Nic Shiubhlaigh was an Irish actress and Republican activist. A founding member of the Abbey Theatre, she participated in the Easter Rising, 1916 and wrote a memoir called "The Splendid Years".

The Máire Nic Shiubhlaigh Additional Papers (2002) includes letters and cards sent to Nic Shiubhlaigh from friends and associates including Padraic Colum, Alice Milligan, Lennox Robinson, Joseph Holloway and Seumas O’Sullivan. Also included are typescripts of plays by, amongst others, Lady Gregory, Seumas O’Kelly and Alice Milligan, theatre programmes, documentation relating to her radio broadcasting work and drafts of lectures and autobiographical writings that relate to her involvement with the theatre movement in Ireland, the early years of the Abbey Theatre and her participation in the Easter Rising.
