    Papers, maps and rentals from the Murray Stewart estate, south Donegal, including Horatio Granville Murray Stewart in the 19th century.

    Includes:
    A Book of Maps of Alexander Murray’s Estate in the County of Donegal’. A 1749 survey and valuation of lands which are part of Murray’s estate. Lands surveyed include Ballywell and divisions; Drumrusks with divisions; Minacalley, Corporation Lands of Killybegs; Ballyara; Drumaghy; Gortnasillagh; Killterney; Laghey; Bawn; Muckross. Describes type of farming land (arable, pasture etc), and valuation (P/2/1/1 – P/2/1/2). Photocopy of Book of Maps of lands of Alexander Stewart Murray; surveyed by David Johnston. For years 1813 – 1814 (P/2/1/3). Map of part of Baghanbuoy and part of Carnamanna, the property of Alexander Stuart (sic), surveyed by David McCool, in 1783 (P/2/1/4).
    Rentals are for years 1846, 1852, 1859, 1865, 1870, 1876, 1885 – 1886, 1891, 1896 – 1904, 1905, rent rates, 1880. (P/2/2/1 – P/2/2/12), areas and townlands include Killybegs, Kilcar, Killymard, Inishkeel, Killaghtee.
    Also included is a detailed accounts of the Irish and Scottish estates of Horatio Granville Stewart Murray, including payments, disbursements, and receipts. 1855 – 1863 (P/2/3)
