A collection of items relating to the various railways operating within the city area, includes material relating to the Great Northern Railway Company (Ireland), the Belfast and Northern Counties Railways, County Donegal Railways, Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway, London, Midland and Scottish, Northern Ireland Railway. The collection includes a large photographic collection, numerous printed journals, booklets and rule-books plus various correspondence files, and legal deeds. The collection also includes documents relating to American railway companies, in particular those of relevance to a legal case concerning bonds in the Atlantic and Great Western Railroad.
