    SM625/1 Copy of Statement by Thomas P. Waters, Cobh, Co. Cork dated 20 March 1957 (17pp) detailing his activities in the period 1914 – 1921 as a member of the Irish Volunteers and later the IRA in Bantry and in the North of Ireland and in Co. Tipperary. Mentions attending G.A.A. meeting in 1914 attended by Sean O’Sullivan, Adjutant of Cork City Battalion, Irish Volunteers. Describes political situation in Bantry following the outbreak of World War One. Activites in Easter 1916. Travel to Belfast, procurement of arms, ambushes and attacks on R.I.C. barracks, Tipperary ‘Flying Column’ members.
